Hi friends! It's that point in the year/ semester where you may feel like you need a break. Sometimes I definitely bite off more than I can chew and then I'm left feeling super stressed out and worthless. I've definitely had my fare share of mental breakdowns, but there is nothing better than getting myself right back up and accomplishing all my goals. Lately, I've been feeling a little un-inspired. It's hard to maintain school, work, blogging, working out, sorority life, social life etc.. I definitely feel like I'm just going through the motions sometimes. Whenever I'm feeling a low-vibration or low on energy I usually find things that make me happy or help me feel inspired again.
How to get some "me time"
1) Workout- my favorite workout is spin class! I love the way that I feel when i'm there and after I have a good workout! There's nothing like re-centering yourself and letting out all of the negative energy during a good workout!
2) Meditate or Do Yoga- I recently started meditating and I love it! Ive been following a 10 minute video on youtube and just sit and relax in my dorm room and focus on my thoughts and breathing! I also love to do yoga in my room here and there! Shutting off everything around you but your mind and body for a little can help clear your mind and be the start to a good day!
3) Get Organized- Okay.. so this one's not for everyone, but if you're like me, then you have to have everything in your planner organized and know your exact plans a few days ahead. I'm a huge planner and feel so off track if I don't know what is going on in my life. I take my planner everywhere and look at it constantly so that I know what I have to do for the day.  (Life hack- I am obsessed with using stickers to organize my planner. It makes everything look more fun and helps me remember when something super important is coming up.)
4) Get Some Coffee- Whenever I'm feeling un-inspired, I love to go get a latte from either Starbucks, Whole Foods, or a local coffee shop. I love doing "something for me" and there's nothing better that I can think of then going out and getting my favorite drink from somewhere! (Life hack- getting your nails done, a blow out, taking a bath with a bath bomb or getting a facial could also really help to recenter you and really be something that you do for yourself... Treat yo self, am I right?)

I know these ideas are pretty simple, but they really do help me when i'm feeling low on energy! Life is so exciting and great, but it really does depend on your attitude! Its not easy to always maintain the #girlboss "get everything done, while being able to work out everyday, always having a perfect mani-pedi and getting enough beauty sleep" status, but as long as you're trying your best that's all that matters! We all need a little break here and there! there's nothing wrong with being a little selfish and treating yourself--- go buy yourself some flowers, put your hair in a messy bun and drink a latte because you deserve it!
